By Crystal Seas
Despite their name, killer whales are actually very gentle creatures that have a track record of leaving humans alone when in the wild. Every native culture that has come in contact with the killer whale has given them great respect and even places of high honor in their mythologies. For this and many other reasons, many people kayak to San Juan Island in order to see these amazing creatures up close.
There are, of course, a number of ways to see them, but kayaking with killer whales cannot be beat. For one thing, you see these whales in their native habitat, so you can rest assured they are happy and healthy. It also means they are interacting with you on their own accord, as opposed to being forced to do tricks.
Kayaking around the San Juan Islands virtually guarantees you’ll get to see a pod of killer whales up close, but there’s no reason to be afraid. These gentle giants are always welcoming hosts and will go in and out of the water right alongside you without causing you any harm.
So if you’ve always wanted to see a killer whale in person, this is definitely the best way to do it.

Prepare for a great skiing season

Are you ready ski season? How about the best ski season of your entire life? If so, you need to start preparing early or the ensuing season may actually leave you disappointed. It all begins by making sure your gear is in good shape. Does it still fit (it’s ok if you put on a few pounds, after all)? Did anything happen to them while they sat idle in storage? Whatever the case, now is the time to look into this and replace the equipment that is no longer working.
Then you need to start working out and getting ready for the physical toll that will come with this year’s skiing season. You don’t want to pull a muscle or otherwise be unprepared for the challenge ahead, physically.
Finally, you need to start planning for the trips you’ll want to take. For example, maybe you’d like to go with some Colorado church group ski trips. That could be a really good time so long as you plan ahead and organize everyone and everything. Outsource it to the right company and they’ll do this all for you!

What could be more exciting than a winter wonderland? Colorado offers some of the most amazing slopes in the world, and resorts there cater to all skill levels. If you’re planning a church group trip, consider hanging outdoors among nature. Ski trips are affordable and fun, and everyone can bond together.
Determine Availability
The first thing you should do before you book group ski packages in Colorado is whether everyone in your group will have the same availability. Planning a family trip is easier in this respect, because mostly everyone is on the same page. For church groups, float the idea around now and try to gauge interest. It may be helpful to convene a meeting and let everyone debate the availability to help move the process along faster.
Book ASAP
Once you’ve ironed out everyone’s availability for the church group ski trip, book your plans as soon as you can. This ends up working out to your advantage. It gives the resort plenty of time to arrange for space for your group, and it allows you to thoroughly research the amenities offered at each park. You should buy your lift tickets at least two weeks out from the date you plan to take the trip. You can do this now, but it’s best to wait and give your group a chance to check out the options. Try picking your top three or top five and putting those up to a small vote to see which is most appealing.
Secure Commitments
Group skiing packages cost money, and while payment is flexible depending on how quickly you book your trip, it’s best to secure the commitments from your group as soon as possible. The most effective method of doing this is to require a cash or check deposit upfront. If your organization does not already have one, set up an account you can use to accumulate and use these funds to pay for your trip.
Plan Transportation
When you a plan an event of this scale, transportation will always be an issue. IF you’re not local to Colorado, you might have to book flight plans. Make sure you call ahead and see fi you can work out some group rates to get things going. Bus packages and rental vans are another option that can prove to be a fun cross-country experience.

New Mexico: Skiing Destination
June 14, 2014 by admin · Leave a Comment
Passionate skiers can all run into the same problem eventually: running out of local skiing options. The more you ski, the faster it happens. However, this can also be seen as an opportunity too. Traveling to other ski resorts around the country (or even the world) is a great way to enjoy your favorite pastime and see more of the world all at the same time. One destination everyone should see is New Mexico.
While its neighbor, Colorado, is better known for skiing, New Mexico has a lot to offer. Off the mountain, you’ll enjoy beautiful weather the year round. On the many mountains New Mexico offers, though, you’ll have all the fresh powder you need to carve it up and enjoy yourself. Plus, you’ll have a much easier time getting that valuable mountain time in as opposed to going to more popular options like Colorado.
If you really want to save money, you can always schedule group ski packages too. This will make it more affordable for you and others to go, which means you can easily make New Mexico the destination for your next family vacation and get everyone hitting the slopes together.
Group ski trips are the best
May 24, 2014 by admin · Leave a Comment
Ski trips are best enjoyed with friends. Groups of 4 or 5 are a very good size, and you’ll find that these are one of the best memories that you’ll ever make during your college years. If you’re near the Rockies, you can plan Colorado college ski trips with your friends where it would be a good idea to plan ahead so all your friends will have enough time to make time for your trip. Whether you all know how to ski or not wouldn’t really be a problem either since you can opt for a tutorial where all of you can learn together. Trips with friends can be a lot of fun especially when you plan it properly. A nice weekend trip can be perfect when it comes to bonding and recharging those batteries. School can be quite stressful especially when you don’t do anything to vent out and try to relax. Drinking in bars can help, but sometimes it just doesn’t cut it. If you enrolled in a school that’s quite close to ski resorts, it would be much easier to visit. And the best part about going on group ski trips is that you can save a whole lot as well. Most ski resorts and travel sites offer group packages that will allow you to stay and use their facilities at a cheaper cost. However, these travel and accommodation deals must be availed of at an earlier date so you wouldn’t run out as these things sell out rather quickly.
